One of only 200 copies printed, the Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone uncorrected proof is one of the rarest Harry Potter books in the world. These copies were distributed to the press and those in the book industry in early 1997. Many of these uncorrected proofs were mishandled and/or thrown away after being read.

The front cover is white with a yellow stripe in the middle of the book. On the back you will find some information about the book including price, dimentions, release date, ISBN, etc.

On the inside title page, Jo Rowling's pen name is incorrect. It reads "J. A Rowling". There is debate as to whether this was a printing error, or if J.K. Rowling had not yet decided on her pen name middle initial and Bloomsbury went with the first letter in the alphabet.

Inside you will find the errors found within a first printing of Philosopher's Stone.

Issued with very few copies of this book was a proof "jacket". The "jacket" was a mock up of how the front and back covers of the paperback version would look and feel. You will notice in the photos below that the colors had changed from proof jacket to final covers. This jacket is exceptionally rare.
